Sylvia Rose McGlade, 86 passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017. She was born May 2, 1931 in Zanesville to the late Russell Smith and Louise Kernan Smith Grealis. Sylvia was employed for 49 years with General Electric and was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and was an avid Bowler.
She is survived by her daughter and best friend Mary Beth (Charles) Tippie; a sister Mary Lou Brennan; two grandchildren: Heather Tippie and Chase (Sarah) Tippie and a great-grandson Miles Tippie.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Max McGlade, whom passed away June 18, 2009; and two brothers: Karl Smith and Robin Smith.

Calling hours will be from 6-8pm on Monday August 21 and one hour prior to the service at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 12 (Noon) in the Snouffer Chapel with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
