Charles Nelson Lancaster 76 of Zanesville passed away May 31, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 18, 1943 in Toledo, OH a son of the late Victor and Irene Prebles Lancaster. He was retired from the U.S. Navy having served five tours in Vietnam. Following retirement he served as a Merchant Marine for eight years. He also worked for United Technologies and Dollar General. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and was Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his wife Nonie Thompson Lancaster; a daughter Doris Landers; four step children Mike Ridgway, Mendy Stotts, Jeff Ridgway, and Marie Wisecarver; two brothers Hank and Jerry Lancaster; three sisters Patty McFee, Vicky Ross and Sussie Cunningham; several grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and two furry friends Lady and Sandy.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son Victor Lancaster and one sister Ethel.
