Dale Blackford, 75 passed away Monday, April 16, 2018. He was born April 12, 1943 in Zanesville to the late Roy and Wilma King Blackford. He was retired from United Technologies and was a member of the American Legion, NRA and a former member of the Killbuck Long Rifles. Dale enjoyed camping, hiking, biking and nature. He served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Navy.
He is survived by four daughters: Carol Moorehead, Robin (Mike) Myers, Rita (Ray) Shesky and Dale (Paul) Barton; his loving companion Jodi Lintz; nine granddaughters; one adopted granddaughter; four great grandchildren; and his brother Dan (Carol) Blackford.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Blackford, who passed away on July 23, 2005; and a son-in-law Kevin Moorehead.
A celebration gathering will take place from 3 to 5 PM Friday, April 20 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD, with a time of sharing to begin at 5PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors Project, Muskingum County Animal Shelter or the Columbus Zoo.
