ZANESVILLE

Daniel Lee Brown 68, of Zanesville passed away on Saturday July 7, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Dan was born in Zanesville on October 24, 1949 to the late Stanley and Florence Weiser Brown.  He had an associate’s degree in accounting and retired as Senior Vice President of loan administration at First National Bank of McConnelsville.  He was a member of the NRA, Briar Rabbit, VFW and FMJ Indoor Range. Dan served at Christ’s Table, Heart of Ohio Emmaus Community and the food pantry at the Salvation Army. He was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church where he was very active and served on many boards. He served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his loving wife Debbie Yonley Brown; a daughter Laura Brown; a son Jeffrey (Darci) Adair; a step daughter Brooke King; a step son Adam King; seven sisters: Wanita Teagarden, his twin Janet (Roger) Brailer, Linda (Randy) Zeimer, Sara Brown, Carolyn (Dan) Asher, Cheryl (Jeff) Antill and Susan Sutton; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Terry Brown.

Memorial contributions may be made to Coburn United Methodist Church, 3618 Maple Avenue, Zanesville, OH 43701.

Calling hours will be from 5-8pm on Wednesday, July 11 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE, OHIO. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, July 12 at Coburn United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Irrville Cemetery with full military honors by VFW.
