Donald Ray Gill, 84 of Nashport, OH, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. He was born to the late Howard and Willieann (McKee) Gill in Dudley, OH on October 6, 1934. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Carol Sue (Phipps) Gill, son David Gill and a brother Earl Gill.
Don graduated from Dexter High School in 1952 and served two years in the Army, where he was a tank commander, you have all heard his stories. He also worked for many years at Ross IGA in Zanesville until he retired. Don loved being outdoors, camping, walking in the woods. He loved his family. Don was a wonderful Christian man and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Zanesville.
Don leaves behind two daughters, Rhonda Gill and Donna (Dave) Angle; and five grandchildren: Jennifer Mourne, Jackie (Brandon) Gaunt, Nick Mourne, Nathanial Angle and Hannah Angle.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8PM Monday, November 5 at SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will begin at 10:30AM Tuesday, November 6 with Rev. Dr. Steve Dupler officiating. Burial will follow in the Dudley Cemetery, Noble County Ohio.
