George J. “Buddy” Hoffer, 86 passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Somerset Health and Rehab. He was born August 11, 1931 in Zanesville to the late Albert and Dorothy Lampton Hoffer. George had worked for O.J. Paul Contracting Company.
He is survived by his caregiver Irene Smith and her family; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother John Hoffer; and two sisters: Nancy Woods and Martha Cramer.
Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will begin at 1pm with Rev. Doris Flynn officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery.
