John Everett Seevers, 69 of Zanesville passed away Saturday December 1, 2018 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born December 9, 1948 in Zanesville a son of the late Carl Sr. and Hazel Wyatt Seevers. He graduated Zanesville High School in 1968 and married his high school sweetheart Linda Bone in 1969. John served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict for 3 years. He worked 42 years at Burnham Boiler retiring in 2011. He enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and golf in his younger years. He especially enjoyed watching his two daughters Michelle (Zinn) and Tina (Tolley) play softball and his son Mark playing football. He was an avid fan of Ohio State Buckeyes football and basketball, Dallas Cowboy football and New York Yankees Baseball.
He is survived by his wife Linda (Bone) Seevers; two daughters: Michelle Zinn and Tina (Randy) Tolley; one son Mark Seevers; two grandchildren: Tessa and Randall Tolley Jr.; brothers: Carl Jr. (Sharon), Roger (Ruth), Mike, Larry (Shardai), Donald (Micky) and Bill (Sonie); three sisters: Dorothy Wallace (John), Gloria Runkle and Margaret Layton; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Robert and his grandparents.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday December 4, 2018 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 5, 2018 at 2pm. in the Snouffer Chapel. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
