Leonard Mitchell Jordan

ZANESVILLE

Leonard Mitchell Jordan, 77 of Zanesville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 2, 2017. He was born September 7, 1940 in Muskingum County to the late Lytle Jordan and Edna Chitick Jordan.  He was retired as a crane leader for AK Steel. Leonard enjoyed hunting, Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburg Steelers. He had a tremendous passion for animals and took great pride in raising Quarterhorses and cattle. He loved his grandchildren and throughout his illness he maintained a positive attitude and fought a courageous battle.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Kaye Jordan, whom he married on September 29, 1960; three sons: Kevin Jordan, Rusty (Julie) Jordan and Darin (Teresa) Jordan; a daughter Misty (Rowdy) Shirer; a brother Bernard Jordan; six grandchildren: Micah Jordan, Jacob Jordan, Ryan Jordan, Caleb (Brittany) Jordan, Matthew Shirer and Abi Shirer; and three great grandchildren: Cash, Paisley and Braxtyn.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Dick Jordan; and two sisters: Irene Foster and Coleen Taylor.
