Michael A. Paul, 51 of Adams Lane Care Center, passed away Thursday, the 3rd of January 2019 while under the care of Genesis Hospice. We are certain that he entered into heaven with the same smile on his face that he showed to all who knew him.
Michael was born January 1st, 1968. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church and a graduate of Philo Junior High School. While at Philo, he was a member of numerous clubs and academic groups. Michael loved baseball and idolized Johnny Bench and the Cincinnati Reds. He was an inspiration and a source of strength and determination following his brain injury that occurred during a baseball game in July of 1982.
Preceding Michael in death is an infant sister Gloria Teresa Paul; his father Daniel J. Paul; paternal grandparents Herman and Anna (Bohn) Paul and maternal grandparents George E. and Eva Gertrude (LeChein) Grandstaff.
Surviving Michael is his mother Helen (Grandstaff) Paul, who spent countless hours by his bedside from the time of his accident until the moment he peacefully passed away. Other important people in Michael’s life were caregivers: Pat Hanson, Jennifer Miller and former classmate and friend Kim McCutcheon Kerns. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will continue on with fond memories of Michael in their heart.
A special thank you to Genesis Hospice for all your help during this difficult time.
