Mildred Thomasina Kelso, 85 of Zanesville passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017. She was born January 29, 1932 to the late Thomas and Mabel Lighthizer McGrath. She was a loving and devoted mother who dedicated her life to raising her children. Mildred was a member of the White Cottage United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children: Rebecca (Jeff) Yockey, Richard (Gayla) Kelso, Cynthia (Richard) Vaughn, Robin (Micheal) Gardner and Kathy (Jeff) Anderson; a brother Thomas McGrath Jr.; a sister Catherine Barker; grandchildren: Scott Yockey, Eric (Rachael) Yockey, Karma (Andy) Whitford, Kendra Kelso, Erica Elson, Whitney Gillespie, Rich (Lacy) Vaughn, Misty (Jason) Harris, Max Anderson Jr., Janelle Anderson, Chad (Sheena) Joseph, Anthony (Kaitlyn) Joseph, Kaylee Joseph, Kyle (Chelsea) Anderson and Kayela (Rick) Roberson; 19 great grandchildren; lots of loving nieces and nephew; a brother in law Roger Baughman; and two special friends Debbie Lemmons and Cindy Rush.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kelso Sr.; a son Robert Kelso Jr.; four sisters Esther Mercer, Carol Baughman, Lula McHenry and Clara Weaver; brother in laws: Robert Mercer, James McHenry, Albert Barker and Melvin Weaver; a nephew Marty Mercer and a niece Debbie Barker.
Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM , Thursday, September 28, 2017 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE . Funeral service will be 11AM Friday, September 29, 2017 with her son in law Jeff Anderson officiating. Burial will following in the Chandlersville Cemetery.
