ZANESVILLE

Mont R. West Jr. answered the call from the Lord and went to be with him on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Monty was born June 4, 1935 in Middleport, OH to the late Mont and Kathryn Bowen West Sr.

Monty was a graduate of Roseville High School, class of 1953. He married his wife, Shirley J. West and they had been married for 65 years. They had twin sons Keith and Kevin West. Also surviving, a grandson Seth West.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter Sara C. West.

He worked for the Roekel Co. for fifty five years. He loved to hunt, play football, softball and taught archery classes to many archers. Monty always had a good word for everyone. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Victims of Crime, In Memory of Sara C. West, PO Box 369, Powell, OH 43065.

Calling hours will be held 12 to 2PM, Wednesday August 29, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will follow at 2PM in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Aaron Bounds officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
