Patricia Gillespie Obituary

ZANESVILLE

Patricia Ann Gillespie, 91 passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at The Oaks at Northpointe. She was born May 1, 1927 in Zanesville to the late Roy and Pearl Reed Russi. She was a clerk at JCPenney’s and co-owner with her husband of Bob’s Gun Shop. Patricia was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ. Patricia will be remembered as a most caring, giving, loving, good hearted, feisty, strong, hardworking family matriarch. She was a master pie baker, gun toting, gardening and canning queen, party planner, feeder of the masses, grocery hoarder, people lover, deer hunter, expert soup maker, Amish country loving and the glue that held us all together.

She is survived by a son Larry (Ruth) Gillespie of Nashport; three daughters:  Susie (Ric) Dodson of Zanesville, Barbara (Jack) Danhauer of Nashport and Mary (Max) Hughes of Uniontown; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a brother Rodger (Ann) Russi of Columbus; and her in home caregiver Becky Lowry.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Gillespie; and a brother Roy Russi.

Memorial contributions may be made to Autism Association of Southeastern Ohio, Christ’s Table or North Terrace Church of Christ.

Calling hours will be held 1-5PM on Sunday June 10, 2018 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday June 11, 2018 in the Snouffer Chapel with Bill Meaige and Minister Rod Stockdale officiating.  Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
