Ralph Wilbur Collins

ZANESVILLE

Ralph Wilbur Collins, 85, of Zanesville passed away on Saturday December 2, 2017 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. 

He was born Belmont County, Ohio on September 14, 1932 to the late John and Blanche Kaiser Collins.  He retired from Ohio Bell after 37 years as an electrician.

He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and Communications Workers of America and enjoyed hunting and golfing.  Ralph served our country and protected our freedom as a sailor in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Suzanne Smith Collins whom he married on September 26, 1954; two daughters: Diana Collins and Debra (Dave) Collins- Burgess; two grandchildren: Michael (Nicole) Burgess and Alex Burgess;  six great-grandchildren: Brogan Pleiman, Sam Pleiman, Cash McCallister, Cruz McCallister, Claire Burgess and Bri Burgess; a brother in law Joe (Mary Sue) Smith; a sister in law Sandra Abel; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In  addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents Wilbur (Laura) Collins and Ralph (Ethel) Kaiser.

Calling hours will be from 5-7pm on Monday December 4, 2017 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE.  Funeral services will be held at 10am on Tuesday in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Joy Wigal officiating.  Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Barnesville, OH.
