Albert Eugene Collins

Albert Eugene Collins, 86 passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born October 13, 1934 in Columbus to the late Frank and Ruth Mossburg Collins. Albert retired as a project engineer at United Technologies. He loved golf, Western movies; collecting DVD’s and in his younger days enjoyed dairy farming with the family. He was a United States Marine and was held for three months as a prisoner of war during the Korean War.

He is survived by his daughter Krysta SuAnn (Timothy) Hoffman; brother Larry “Ed” (JoAnn) Collins; three grandchildren: Erycka (Jason) Adams, Noah (Ronda) Hartley and Shawna Hartley; seven great grandchildren: Jayce (Melissa) Adams, Abriana (Matt) Kuhn, Alexzander Ditter, Olivya Woods, Kal El Hartley, Addisyn Hartley and Dakota Watson; five great great grandchildren: Brantley Adams, Mila Mae Adams, Ellie Adams, Everly Faye Kuhn and River Kuhn; and his beloved dog Ching.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Faye Minick Collins; his beloved pet Peekaboo; and two brothers: John Collins and Chuck Collins.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30PM Monday, October 4, 2021 in Zanesville Memorial Park with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will follow Military Honors by VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
