Arthur Lee Thomas, 71 passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Riverside Hospital. He was born April 30, 1948 in Zanesville to the late David and Louise Smith Thomas. He was employed as a truck driver with several trucking companies over the years and loved motorcycles. He was past president of the Eagles #302 and also a member of the American Legion #29, Eagle Riders and Ole Boy Bikers. Arthur served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Marines during Vietnam. He also served in the Army National Guard.
Surviving are two sons: Mike (Melissa) Harper and Danny (Danielle) Harper; a daughter Darlene Thomas; three brothers: Ronald (Martha) Thomas, Lowell (Rita) Thomas and Willis (Patty) Thomas; two sisters: Louella Leis and Linda (Charles) Cox; seven grandchildren: Kacey (Brandon) Stackhouse, Kayla McInerney, Kinsey (Vince) Harper, Brieanna Glenn, A.J. Harper, Dalton Rollison and Cassey Rollison; three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Edith Harber and a brother Donald Thomas.
Calling hours will be from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7PM Thursday, January 2, 2020 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD. Military services will be held at 3PM and the funeral service will begin at 7PM pm in the Snouffer Chapel.
