Barbara A Schley

Barbara Ann Schley, 61 of Zanesville passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Barb was born in Zanesville on June 6, 1960 to Henry and Martha McCormick Shepler. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Nutrition and a Master’s degree from Muskingum University in Early Childhood Education.  She was employed by The Ohio State University. Barb enjoyed the outdoors especially walking, volleyball, hiking, and kayaking. Barb’s greatest joy was her loving family.

In addition to her mother she is survived by two sons Bryan Schley and Matthew (Natalie) Schley, the love of her life Rod Schley,  two brothers Gerald (Linette) Shepler and Steven Shepler, three sisters Marilyn (Scott) DeMattei, Susan (Mark) Auckerman, and Lynda (Doug) Miller, nieces and nephews: Katie Hooper (Paul) Bailey, Adam (Staci) Hooper, Sarah (Hank) Straty, Tyler Downs, Jesse Auckerman, Alyssa (Brad) Thomas, and Seth Miller, several great nieces and nephews and very special friends Chris, Juna, Maddie, Ty, and Pax Garber.

She will be reunited in Heaven by her Father Henry Shepler.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Tuesday April 12 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11am in The Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
