Betty Louise Schneider

Betty Louise Schneider, 84, of Zanesville passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Betty was born in Zanesville on August 24, 1940, to the late Alfred and Amanda Lighthizer Durant. She was a homemaker and enjoyed collecting Antiques and going to yard sales. Betty was a devoted Christian and a former member of the Unity Church of the Nazarene. Her and her late husband Martin took great pride in bringing smiles to the children of the church as they would often visit them in hospitals and bring them toys.

She is survived by her four children: Marty Schneider, Teresa (Earl) Touvell, Mark (Leslie) Schneider and Matthew Schneider; a sister Mary VanAllen; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Martin Schneider; two sisters: Nancy Bales and Shirley Stoneburner; and two brothers: Alfred Durant Jr. and Gary Durant.

Cremation services have been entrusted to The Snouffer Crematory.
