Blanche M. (Morris) Bishop

Blanche M. Bishop, 90, of Hopewell, passed away Friday August 15, 2025 at her residence.  She was born July 2, 1935 in Noble County, Ohio to the late Charles and Viva Gallagher Morris. She loved to sew and garden and make quilts for her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of The Zanesville Church of Christ.

She is survived by a daughter Donna (Jim Miller); eight grandchildren: Patricia (William) Allen, Chad (Jennifer) Bishop, Kevin (Erica) Bishop, Vanessa Bishop, Stephanie (John) Thompson, Jennifer (Ray) Jenkins, Kenneth (Logan) Bishop, LeAnn (Mark) Toth; and numerous great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Bishop; sons: Jeffrey Bishop, Ronald Bishop and Kenneth Bishop; a grandson Shane Carroll; a great grandson Austin Collopy; a daughter-in-law, Connie Bishop; two brothers: Herman and Harry Morris; two half brothers Edson Roe and James Morris; and three sisters: Mildred McCort, Helen Powers and Shirley Ashe.

Calling hours will be held from 11-12 on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESAVILLE. The funeral will begin at 12 noon in the Snouffer Chapel. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zanesville Church of Christ, 4900 West Pike Zanesville, OH 43701 or Genesis Hospice. A drop box will be provided at the funeral home.
