Carolyn Imes, 82, of Lowell, Ohio formerly of Zanesville passed away on Saturday November 6, 2021 at Stellar Care Center in Woodsfield following a lingering illness fighting cancer.
Carolyn was born in Zanesville on August 28, 1939 to the late Jesse and Edith Vogt Imes. While in Zanesville she attended Grace United Methodist Church and while living in Lowell since 1970 she has been a very faithful and dedicated member of St. John’s Evangelical Church. Carolyn had a passion at an early age to help others, upon her graduation from Zanesville High School she went on to pursue her degree in Education from Ohio University. This decision she made led to the education of thousands of second and third grade students learning from the heart and giving them a chance to succeed. She started her career in South Zanesville and in 1970 transferred to the Reno School District where she taught for over 30 years. Not only did Carolyn love her students, she took great interest in their parents as well.
She is survived by one brother Jerry Imes of Zanesville.
