Darrell Joy Obituary

Darrell James Joy 62 of Nashport passed away Monday August 9, 2021 at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital. He was born April 23, 1959 in Niskayuna, NY a son of Virginia Jane Johnson Joy and the late John Frederick Joy.

Darrell served his country and protected our freedoms while serving in the United States Air Force retiring with 20 years of service. He was retired from Verizon as an Operations Manager and worked part-time at Lowes in Zanesville. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife Lynnette Curtis Joy; step son Kevin (Andrea) Martin; three brothers Daniel (Dorey) Joy, David (Katerine) Joy and Dennis (Lisa) Joy; several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins and their two cats Eddie and Ruby.
