ZANESVILLE
Debra Sue Watson, 68, passed away peacefully on February 1st, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 19, 1956, in Guam, Debra spent most of her life in Ohio, where she built a life centered around family, hard work, and the things she loved most.
Debra’s career spanned both photography and food service, where she found joy in capturing memories and serving others. However, her greatest passion in life was her family. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Matt (Taylor) Vincent, Misty (Steve) Meredith, and David Watson, and a cherished grandmother to Marissa, James, Jenna, Lily, and Mia. She was also blessed to welcome her great-grandson, Easton, into the world.
An avid animal lover, Debra had a kind heart for all creatures and was happiest when surrounded by her furry companions. She enjoyed cooking and hosting. She was also a loyal Ohio State Buckeyes fan, cheering on her team with pride.
Debra is survived by her siblings: John Rush, Tom (Missy) Rush, Charlie (Karen) Schwarck, Lynda (Bob) Palmiero, and Michael (Kathy) Schwarck.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Wanda Rush.
Her warmth, love, and unwavering dedication to her family will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life is being planned and will be held at a later date. THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, has the distinct honor of serving the Watson family. Cremation care has been entrusted to The Snouffer Crematory.
