Donald Batteiger Obituary

Donald Eugene Batteiger 80 of Zanesville passed away on Saturday February 24, 2018 at Genesis Hospital.

Don was born in Zanesville on January 21, 1938 to the late Andrew and Sara Harper Batteiger. He was a retired building contractor with J.C. Ross Contracting. Don enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, Firearms, and attended Sonora United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife Frances Shultz Batteiger; a son Kenneth (Janet) Batteiger; two daughters: Cody (John) Ross and Kim Hockingberry; a brother Robert (Betty) Batteiger; a sister in law Mary Batteiger; six grandchildren: Jennifer (Jeff) Alexander, Angela Ross, Jason (Tonyia) Ross, Renee (Cody) Ward, William Batteiger and Carson Faulk; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerry Batteiger and Richard (Cheryl) Batteiger.

Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday February 27 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Joe Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery in Sonora.
