Donald Howard Wolford, 88, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, at Genesis Hospital. He was born December 21, 1936, in Frazeysburg to the late Foster and Mabel Romine Wolford. He was a 1954 graduate of Frazeysburg High School.
Donald was a licensed plumber, specializing in electrical, HVAC, carpentry and pipefitting. He was employed with Kaiser Aluminum, Houston Plumbing & Heating and Rockwell International, where he retired from. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, and he served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Army. He attended a 2022 honor flight to Washington, DC. He was a 50+ year Mason, having belonged to Frazeysburg and Irville Lodge F&AM; he was also a member of the Dresden American Legion Post #399, Veteran’s Appreciation Foundation, Zanesville Country Club and the Mall Walker Club since 1995. He was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide…….ROLL TIDE!
Surviving is his wife Beverly Mae Bunting Wolford, whom he married October 17, 1958; two daughters: Cheryl Lynn Wolford (John) Crown and Keena Noelle Wolford Briggs; a sister Betty Louise Myers; four grandchildren: Emily Jade (Adam) Powell, Logan Douglas Wolford, Mitchell Donald Briggs and Madison Abigail Briggs; and great grandchildren: Knox David Powell, Klara Jade Powell and Kamden Ryan Powell.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 10AM to 12PM, Saturday, April 12, 2025, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, OHIO. A Masonic Service will be held at 12PM by the Irville Masonic Lodge F&AM and the funeral service will follow with his nephew Derek Dean Myers officiating. Full military honors will be held after the service. Cremation care has been entrusted to The Snouffer Crematory.
