Edmund Klass Obituary

Edmund Charles Klass, 96, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born February 28, 1926, in Cambridge to the late Joseph C. Klass and Earline McMahon Smith. He retired as a receiving clerk from Rockwell and during his retirement he worked part time at Kessler Sign Co. He served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Army during the Korean War. He also served in the Army National Guard for six years. He was a member of Cornerstone Church. He was also a member of the Buckeye Sheriff Association, American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles, where he was a past President.

Surviving are a son Ralph (Jane) Mitchell and a daughter Judy (Terry) Chambers; ten grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lena Wilson Klass; son Charles “Sonny” Klass; step father Richard “Dick” Smith; brother John J. (Mary) Klass; and a sister Betty Klass.

Memorial contribution may be made to Genesis Hospice Morrison House, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, OH 43701.

Calling hours will be from 11AM to 12PM Tuesday, March 22 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD. Funeral service will begin at 12PM in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
