Francis "Frank" Paul Laihr Jr.

Francis “Frank” Paul Laihr Jr. age 76 of Nashport passed away May 24, 2024 at Grant Medical Center.  He was born June 3, 1947 in Columbus, OH a son of the late Francis Paul Sr. and Hannah Hughes Laihr.  He worked as a Lab Tech at Owens Corning Science and Technology and was a former mechanic.

Frank served his country and protected our freedoms while serving in the United States Army doing two tours of duty in Vietnam.  He was a life member of the NRA and enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by one son Francis Paul Laihr III; two daughters Stephanie (Brian) Dickinson and Andrea (Mitchel) Shaffer; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Laihr who died on January 14, 2024; two brothers Peter and Jim; one sister Cindy.

Private family services will be held with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Full Military graveside honors will be conducted by VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
