George Armstrong Obituary

George Edward Armstrong, 96, passed away Wednesday November 10, 2021 at Genesis Morrison House. He was born March 1, 1925 in Ferrisburg, Vermont to the late Alpheus and Jessie Sawyer Armstrong. He was a lifelong resident of Fayston, Vermont. George retired from Ward Clapboard Mills with over 30 years in the maintenance department. He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church for over 70 years. He served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Army.

The Lord brought George and his surviving wife Betty J. Armstrong, together on June 13, 1993.  They were married for 28 ½ years but with their love they celebrated monthly anniversaries and have been married for 341 months.  Also surviving are his three sons: Jonathan Armstrong, Stephen (Tammy) Armstrong and Matthew (Samantha) Armstrong; a step son Wesley Carpenter; seven grandchildren: Victoria, Sophia, Max, Alisha, Amanda, Ann Marie and Lucetta.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Frederick Armstrong and his former wife Mary Ann Armstrong.
