George R Buckley

George R. Buckley, 87 of Zanesville passed away at 9:15am on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at The Morrison House Hospice.

George retired from Best-Way Mechanical in Zanesville. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Zanesville and the Miniature Schnauzer Kennel Club of Columbus.
Surviving are his stepchildren: Nancy Jewell Smith of Newark, Sandy Jewell Alton of Zanesville, Gloria Jewell (Michael Clark) Snack of Florida, Ronnie (Debbie) Jewell of Columbus and Danny (Diane) Jewell of Zanesville; his cousin Sandra Lucenta of Arizona; uncle Paul Buckley of North Carolina; nephew Mark (Triza) Buckley of Texas and sister-in-law Winona Buckley of Proctorville, Ohio. He also had several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Jewell Buckley; stepdaughter Marsha Walker; stepson Jeff Jewell; his brother John Buckley and nephew Jeff Buckley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, 713 Forest Avenue Zanesville, Oh 43701.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE for all the family and friends with Chaplain Andrew Wilson officiating.
