ZANESVILLE
George “Jug Head” “Uncle Honey” McFarland, 71 of Zanesville passed away on Friday March 18, 2022 at Genesis Hospital surrounded by his family and friends.
George was born in Coshocton, Ohio on January 17, 1951 to the late Lloyd and Ruth Pigman McFarland. George was a 1970 Graduate of Riverview High School and was a member of United Mine Workers of America and Zanesville Eagles Aerie 302. He retired from American Electric Power-Conesville and after retirement went on to drive for SBL Trucking. He served our Country and Protected our Freedon in the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karol Jasper McFarland, a son Christopher (Kendra Gilman) McFarland, a daughter Kayla Jones, a sister Ruby (Larry) Groves, five grandchildren: Gary Jones, Gage Jones, Madison Jones, Aiden Jones, and Rylie McFarland, one great- granddaughter Bella Jones several nieces and nephews, and two special fur babies Penny and Wally.
In addition to his parents he was reunited in Heaven by two sisters Ann and Betty, four brothers Milton, Bob, Jim, and Donnie, and a niece Lindsey Garrett.
Calling hours will be from 11am-3pm on Sunday March 27, 2022 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Services will follow in The Snouffer Chapel at 3pm with Pastor Charles Gray Adams Jr. officiating.
