Golda "Dolly" Marie Cornell

Golda “Dolly” Marie Cornell, 93, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Oaks at Northpointe. She was born October 15, 1931, in Morgan County, near Portersville, to the late Leonard and Ida Mae Lemity Altier. She was a homemaker. Dolly was a longtime resident of McConnelsville, and was a member of the Lion’s Club, and the Malta & McConnelsville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter Janice Cornell; and four grandchildren: Jason Cornell, Holly Sunafrank (Wesley) Allenbaugh, Jessica Michael, and Rachel Kreager; and three great-grandchildren: Vance, Kahlia, and Kensley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Cornell; a son John Cornell; a brother Leonard “Jigs” Altier; and two sisters: Isabelle Dusenberry and Alice Harrison.

Graveside service will be at 11am on Wednesday February 26 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Crooksville, OH.
