Greig Arthur McDonald

Greig Arthur McDonald 66 of Newark formerly of New Concord passed away Friday March 18, 2021 in Mexico.  He was born August 7, 1954 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Harry L. and Bette Bartels McDonald.  His business was his life and he took great pride in keeping small town local banks local. He visited most independent small town banks in the state of Ohio and had a great relationship with the Directors and Presidents.  He founded Community Banc Investments in 1990, and is the only bank stock company in the state of Ohio.  His vision of keeping money local has helped the economy of many area communities and countless clients that Greig referred to as friends.

Greig is survived by his wife Jennifer McFarland McDonald; one son Sean McDonald of Senecaville; one daughter Cassi (Kurt) Ragsdale of Cambridge; one brother David (Loretta) McDonald of Wheeling; seven grandchildren Kaity Ragsdale, Alexis Ragsdale, Kirstin Ragsdale, Marycke Ragsdale, Devin Ragsdale, Teagan McDonald and Taryn McDonald and good friends the Themar family.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Monday March 29, 2021 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 30, 2021 at 1pm in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Howdy Barnett officiating.  He will be laid to rest in Spring Grove Cemetery, Newark, OH at a later date.
