Harvey Russell Buhl, 58, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born December 30, 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late David and Hazel Phillips Buhl. He was a Quality Assurance Specialist with the Defense Contract Management Agency, and he was a civilian contractor with the Department of Defense. He served his country and protected our freedom in the United States Air Force for 31 years, retiring as a Tech Sergeant, and was extremely proud of his military career. He was a member of the Dresden VFW and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Zanesville. He collected model trains and nutcrackers and enjoyed spending time with his Chihuahuas.
Surviving is his wife, Vikki Hall Buhl; three children: Corey (Sarah) Roby, Emma Buhl and Val Sanchez; two brothers: David Buhl and Daniel Buhl; and four sisters: Becky Simpkins-Cox, Monica Richardson, Cindy Clark and Mary Gorman.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4PM Saturday, December 21, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3300 Kearns Drive, Zanesville. The funeral service will begin at 4PM at the church with Bishop Russell Graves officiating. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio, at a later date.
