ZANESVILLE

Heidi Lynn Sims, 51 passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 in the Genesis Emergency Room. She was born June 9, 1968 in Zanesville to Craig and Sandra A. Burkett Donnelly. She was previously employed as a court coordinator with Muskingum County Juvenile Court. She was a member of Timber Run Grange. Heidi enjoyed everyone’s kids and influenced many of them in a positive way. Heidi had a large family, locally and in the Newark and Troy area. She loved family gatherings; her specialty was making her famous chocolate pies. The house would cheer when she entered the home with it. She grew up playing daily with her cousin Lori Pickenpaugh Nealy and Jason Pickenpaugh. She had a sparkling personality, people were drawn to her and children adored her. She loved interacting with them.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband Larry L. Sims; a step son Luke Sims; a brother Mark Donnelly; aunts and uncles: Diane Gearhart, Bill Gearhart, Robin Roback, Sharon McKinney, Steve Burkett, Tom Burkett, Becky White, Peggy Hyre, Sheila Pickenpaugh and Charles Pickenpaugh; her most special little girl Dylan Sims, who will always miss Heidi; nieces and nephews: Kyle, Nathan, Jenna, Darcy, Abigail (Ethan) Enist, Emily Browning Cromer, Heather Gearhart and Brian Gearhart; great nieces and nephews: Dylan, Estelle and Joleah; close friends: Kaylee, Keligh and Anthony; and her best friend of over 30 years Tracy Scott.

She is preceded in death by her nephew Josh Gearhart.

The family has requested no flowers, but instead they ask that you do something nice for someone else and remember Heidi.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 6PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE, followed by a short service and at this time you are invited to tell us how Heidi made an impact on your life. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, details will be available online.
