Ida Ellen (Maxwell) Barks

ZANESVILLE

Ida Ellen Cronin Barks, 85 of Zanesville, passed away May 6, 2018. She was born May 5, 1933 in Zanesville, to the late Samuel M. and Florence E. Richey Maxwell. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Mount Carmel East. Ellen was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the Zanesville Applalachian Arts Project.

Surviving are two sons: James (J.T.) Cronin and Jonathan (Lisa) Cronin; a daughter Rebecca (Bob) Sayre; a step son William (Pamela) Barks Jr.; nine grandchildren: Scot William Kimble, Sam Cronin, Sarah Goodrich, Rachel Cronin, Renae Elliott, Adam Cronin, Madison Elliott, Matthew Elliott and Ryan Barks; nine great grandchildren; and a brother Robert Maxwell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Barks Sr., who passed away August 10, 2017; and a brother Richard Maxwell.

Calling hours will be held 11AM to 1PM, May 9, 2018 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE.  Funeral services will begin at 1PM with Father Martin J. Ralko officiating and burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
