Jack A. McDonald, age 80, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Friday November 7, 2025, at Altercare Zanesville. He was born July 6, 1945, in Zanesville, OH to the late Jack R. “Bob” McDonald and Dorothy O’Bannon McDonald Hill. Jack retired as a toolmaker from Anchor Glass Container and a Union Representative with the USWA and was also in the Army Reserves. He was a devoted member of the Amity #5 Masonic Lodge, enjoyed golfing with his buddies, especially his work buddies and loved spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his children: Todd McDonald, Jennifer (Christopher) Elma and Lindsey (William Everett II) Gibson; six grandchildren: Alexander C. Elma, Zachary A. McDonald, Ashley E. Elma, Dylan T. McDonald, Grayson E. Gibson and Kyler E. Gibson; two great grandchildren: Teagan M. Monnett and Tyson A. McDonald; brothers, Michael D. (Jane) McDonald and Scott (Missy) McDonald; and a sister, Luann (Robert) Tilton; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving companion of many years, Denise Dougherty.
