ZANESVILLE

James Elliott Allen, 76, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Mt. Carmel East. He was born October 3, 1945 in Zanesville to the late Joe and Janice Reed Allen. He retired as a butcher for Kroger’s. He loved NASCAR, dirt track racing, fishing and working on cars.

Surviving are two daughters: Shelly Kitchen of Plain City and Misty Gaucher of Arizona; a brother John Allen; a sister JoAnn Hinkle; five grandchildren: Laken Glaub, Alexis Glaub, Cody Glaub, Nicholas Gaucher and Ethan Paynter; two great grandchildren: Brynlee Whetstone and Bryson Cummings; and a good friend/co-worker Randy Middleton.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Judy Hamilton.
