James H. Jenkins

James Hermen Jenkins, 88, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Newark Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 11, 1937, in Frazeysburg to the late Henry A. and Ada Riley Jenkins. He retired from Owens Corning. James was a member of Philo United Methodist Church and a former member of the Moose Lodge. He loved farming and his Ford tractors.

He is survived by his wife Dollie Whited Jenkins, whom he married April 25, 1978; five children: Kenny (Lisa) Jenkins, Mike Jenkins, Marvin (Debbie) Jenkins, James (Nancy) Jenkins and Marcy Duffield; four step children: Linda (James) Miller, Nancy Peterson, Kathy Kelly and David (Becky) Monlux; a brother Earl (Cindy) Jenkins; two sisters: Charlotte Jenkins and Barbara Thomas; and several grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Roy Jenkins, Tom Jenkins, Ernest Jenkins and Russell Jenkins.

Visitation will be from 11AM to 1PM on Friday, November 7, 2025, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, OHIO. Funeral services will follow at 1PM with Mr. Carl McCune officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Fork Cemetery, Gratiot, Ohio.
