James "Jim" Edwin Bonifield

James Edwin “Jim” Bonifield, 51 passed away, with his wife and son by his side, Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 11, 1970 in Chillicothe to Daniel and Cara Wiles Bonifield. Jim was a 1988 graduate of Bishop Rosecrans and attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He was a millworker for Jeld-Wen and worked at Longaberger Basket Company for several years. Jim was an avid softball player for 30 years in various softball leagues. His time on the diamond enabled him to make numerous lifelong friends. He was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns, Cavs and Notre Dame.

He is survived by his wife Teresa Jenkins Bonifield; a son Jordan Bonifield; father Daniel (Rita) Bonifield; brother John (Amy) Bonifield; two sisters: Vicki (John) Jones and Mary Barr; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Cara Wiles Bonifield, he is preceded in death by his nephew Christopher Jones.

Calling hours will be held from 11AM to 1PM Saturday, September 4 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. A Memorial service will be held at 1PM with Chaplain Tanner Fixari officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made at any Park National Bank for a scholarship fund for Jordan.
