James "Jim" Ross Jr. Obituary

James Frederick Ross Jr. 67 of Dresden passed away March 30, 2024, at his residence. He was born April 4, 1956, in Wheeling, WV a son of the late James Frederick Ross Sr. and Ellen Bolitho Ross. He retired after 20 years at Dollar General Distribution Center in Zanesville. Jim enjoyed watching wrestling, working on cars, lawn work, and his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife Cheryl Moore Ross whom he married on March 27, 1976; daughter Carma Ross (Austin Bintz) and son Shawn Ross (Jessica Frame); brother Eugene (Jenner) Ross and half-brother Robert Grimes; sisters Mary Kay Holle, Pam (Bill) Cecil, Janet Eckley and half-sister Jean (John) White; four grandchildren: Trinity Kelley, Camden Kelley, Landon Ross and Liam Baker; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his half-sister Mildred “Betty” Moore.

Visitation will be held from 11am until time of service at 2pm on Friday April 5, 2024, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
