John Joseph Dicks Jr.

ZANESVILLE

John Joseph Dicks Jr. 85 of Zanesville passed away on Friday April 13, 2018 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

John was born in Canton, Ohio to the late John Joseph and Margurite Withers Dicks. John retired from Ohio Ferro Alloy.  He was a member of Doric Lodge 172 F. &A.M. in Deavertown and Trinity Full Gospel Church. John served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Army.

He is survived by his loving wife Marty Prindle-Dicks; children: John Joseph (Tiffany) Dicks III, Nathalie Ann (Pete) Van Sickle, John (Jodi) Kiser and Ed (Cindy) Walsh; grandchildren: Chad (Diana) Kiser, Hayley (Matt) Kirkbride; Chase (Erin) Kiser, Beth Walsh, Karsen Dicks, Ian (Brittnee) Dicks and Sierra Moore; and  several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wives: Shirley Bailey Dicks and Mary Ann Kiser Dicks; three sons: Robert Joseph Dicks, John Darwin Dicks and Michael Anthony Dicks; a grandson Brian Walsh; six sisters and one brother.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Full Gospel Church food pantry.

Calling hours will be 5-8 pm on Tuesday April 17 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE with Masonic services at 8pm.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, April 18 at Trinity Full Gospel Church 535 Munson Avenue Zanesville, Ohio 43701 with Bishop Terry Rowland officiating.  Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Full Military honors.
