John Bruce Stalder 77, of Zanesville passed away on Monday June 16, 2025, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Bruce was born in Marietta, Ohio on September 24, 1947, to Robert and Hilda Jenewien Stalder. He was a 1965 graduate of Roseville High School. He was a retired Aerospace Technologist as a civilian employee of The United States Air Force and Boeing. He was a former member of Eagles Aerie 302, Ohio Gun Collectors Association, National Rifle Association, and Ducks Unlimited. Bruce was a renowned gun enthusiast and gun smith. His talents and knowledge of firearms and ammunition was respected nationally.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Lynn Trout Stalder; two daughters: Erycka (Jason) Adams and Sarah (Travis Manning) Spence; a stepson Mat (Alicia) Akers; three stepdaughters: Amy (Jim) Wilson, Jenny (Hiram) Haines and Juni (Steve) Runkle; 12 grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and son in law Kyle Spence.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, has the distinct honor of serving the Stalder family. Cremation care is being entrusted to The Snouffer Crematory.
