Karen Sue Goins

ZANESVILLE

Karen Sue Goins, 74, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, after a long illness at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Zanesville on July 3, 1950, to the late James O. Goins and Viola Ada Hill Goins. She worked at Owens Brockway for 37 years. Karen enjoyed working on puzzles, bowling, reading her western books, but above all, she cherished her time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her son George L. Goins; daughter Tamera L. (Tone) Goins; three brothers: James “Jimmy” Goins, John H. (Tammy) Goins and Duane A. “Toby” (Sheena) Goins; two sisters: Linda Garnes and Judy Goins; four grandchildren: Marcellus A. (Nicole) Goins, Tyler L. (Heather) Goins, Sha’Ree R. (Derron) Waddell and Shanice R. (Aaron) Rice; and 16 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 12 to 2PM at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE.  Funeral services will begin at 2PM in the Snouffer Chapel with Elder Nathaniel Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
