Karen E. Norman, 78, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born January 30, 1948, in Sharpsburg, Ohio to the late William C. and Jessie Hill Smith. She was a graduate of Amesville High School. Karen loved her job as a Workshop Specialist for 29 years at the Mary Hammond School. She enjoyed helping the clients. She was a lifetime member of Bartlett Bethel Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Norman, whom she was married to for almost 58 years; her son Jarrod (Michelle) Norman; a granddaughter Jordyn Norman; a brother Randy (Sandra) Smith; and a sister Donna Hale.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jonathan Norman; brothers: Gayle Smith, Argyle Smith, Paul Smith, Bob Smith and Roger Smith; and sisters: Vivian Thompson, Louise Ramsey and Wanda Tate.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, OHIO. The funeral service will be held in the Snouffer Chapel at 11 AM Wednesday, May 13 with Pastor Steve Hale officiating. Burial will follow Chesterhill Cemetery.
