Katherine J. (Power) Lanning

Katherine J. Lanning 94 of Columbus, formerly of Zanesville, passed away Friday June 14, 2024, at The Landings of Westerville. She was born February 15, 1930, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Lee Orville and Lilian Tittle Power. She was a cook for various restaurants and did demo work for Kroger’s and Sam’s Club. She was a member of VFW Post 1058, the American Legion Post 29 Zanesville and the First Church of God.

Katherine cherished her time at family reunions, birthday parties, holiday gatherings and church activities.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah Waters; two grandchildren: Danielle (Thomas) Baker and Darren (Stacy) Waters; two great grandchildren: Olivia Waters and Gavin Waters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Damon Lanning in 1997; four sisters, four brothers and her son-in-law Donald Ray Waters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 11am until time of services at 1pm in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Larry Jack officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
