Larry Alan Griffiths

Larry Alan Griffiths,71, of Zanesville passed away on Friday May 23, 2025 at Genesis Emergency Department.

Larry was born on January 5, 1954 in Zanesville to the late Raymond and Mary Cantwell Griffiths. He was a 1972 graduate of Tri-Valley High School, where he attended Mid-East Vocational school and took automotive and later became a mechanic specializing in street rods and engine building, his talents and knowledge were sought after around the nation. Larry also spent many years as a truck driver and a Sheriff’s Deputy.  Larry had a passion for camping and for many years camped at National Road Camp Ground where he enjoyed helping everyone. Larry was a legendary cook and with his talents he has worked for several restaurants.  In Larry’s retirement years he enjoyed being with friends and family. He was a former President and Trustee of Eagles Aerie 302 Zanesville and a big supporter of Washington Fire Department as he looked forward to their Mother’s Day Chicken Barbeque every year.

He is survived by his daughter Amber Griffiths, three sons: Chris Griffiths, Rodney Griffiths, and Thomas Griffiths, a brother Raymond Griffiths, three grandchildren, and his two best friends Josh Snouffer and Curt Luburgh.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Timothy Griffiths.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-5pm on Wednesday May 28 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Service will follow at 5pm with Josh Snouffer officiating.
