Levi Edgar Stoneburner, 87 of Zanesville passed away at his home, embraced in the arms of his best friend and loving wife, Phyllis.

Levi, fondly called “Pappy” by his family and “Stoney” by his friends, was born to Levi and Josephine Stoneburner on April 4, 1936, in East Fultonham, Ohio. He served his country in the Unites States Air Force before beginning a long career traveling the country, transporting goods for various trucking companies.

After retirement, Levi enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending their sporting events and celebrating birthdays and holidays together. Family was always first and foremost in his heart, offering his unconditional love always; a gift we will carry forever.

Levi is survived by Phyllis, his wife of 60 years, three children Lisa (Brad) Wilson, Jim (Sue) Renner and Becky (Bill) Joseph. Seven grandchildren, Grace and Ellie Wilson, Caitlin (Garrison) Trainer, Sara (Keith) Exel, Andrew (Jenna) Joseph, Matthew (Alaina) Joseph and Vincent (Molly) Joseph. Eleven great-grandchildren, a nephew, Chuck Stoneburner and two nieces, Becky Feldner and Debby Snack. In addition to his loving family, Levi enjoyed a special friendship with his TJ’s coffee buddies, especially Bob Johnson.

A Celebration of Life memorial will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 6pm in the Snouffer Chapel. Friends may call one hour prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Levi’s name to the Veteran Appreciation Fund thru the Muskingum County Community Foundation, 534 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville, OH 43701.

A private burial with full Military Honors will be held at a later in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
