Lydia Dawn Smith, 74 passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at her residence. She was born June 19, 1947 in Puerto Rico to the late Thomas F. and Alice McCarty. She was a graduate of Zane State. She was employed as an online Medical Transcriptionist. Lydia enjoyed painting pottery, gardening, sewing and making jewelry. She loved her three dogs and enjoyed spending time on social media.

She is survived by her children: Thomas (Marsha) Matthews and Robin (Alicia) Smith; and seven grandchildren: Ashley (Marques) McPeck, Bradley Matthews, Jacob Hargett, Riley Hargett, Madison Hargett, Brittney (Austin) Berkfield and Shelby Abella.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robin Smith; and a daughter Cheryl Gray.
