Margaret Elaine (Angelo) Edgell

ZANESVILLE

Margaret Elaine Edgell, 79 passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Genesis Hospital. She was born December 16, 1941 in Caldwell to the late Felix F. and Margaret Ethel Balog Angelo. She retired from Bloomer Candy Company. She belonged to Order #485 Eastern Star and was former Worthy Matron. She also belonged to the White Shrine and a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church. Elaine loved reading, watching Hallmark movies and baking treats for the family. She was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching The Ohio State University football and basketball and Cleveland Browns.

She is survived by her husband William Gene Edgell; two sons: Gerry (Connie) Edgell and Bill (Angel) Edgell; two brothers: Felix (Bonnie) Angelo and David Angelo; a sister Sue (Ron) Holstien; 12 grandchildren: Jessica Edgell, Gerry Edgell Jr., Doug Edgell, Dave Edgell, Lori Weaver, Lee Donahue, Brian Edgell, Amber Edgell, Joshua Edgell, Kati Edgell, Maci Edgell and Mia Edgell; numerous great grandchildren; sister in law Sherry Angelo; and her dog Brutus.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Terry Edgell; three brothers: James (Debbie) Angelo, Jerry Angelo and John (Linda) Angelo; and two dogs: Ginger and Buster.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE.  Eastern Star Service will be held at 6:45PM. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Jon Exman officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
