Marilyn Kay Dickinson, 82, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025, at The Oaks at North Pointe. She was born May 22, 1942, in Zanesville, to the late Everett and Carol Patton Carroll. She was a 1960 graduate of Zanesville High School, attended the University of Southern California and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University. She was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Muskingum County Women’s Democratic Club. Marilyn loved her dogs, antiques, and vacationing often at Red Bay, Ontario, Canada. Kay was a big supporter of Washington Township Fire Department and EMS.
She is survived by her son Joel Dickinson; her sister Beth Ann (Steve) Courtney; nephew Steve (Zena) Courtney; and niece Allyson Courtney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Stephen B. Carroll.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5PM, Monday, April 14, 2025, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The funeral service will begin at 5pm with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Cremation Care has been entrusted to the The Snouffer Crematory.
The family has requested no flowers.
