Mary Ruth Mock Eppley Howell

Mary Ruth Mock Eppley Howell, 93 of Zanesville passed away peacefully on Thursday June 2, 2022, at Altercare Thornville. Mary Ruth was born December 6, 1928, in Pleasant Grove, OH, to the late Charles and Mary (Wilson) Mock. She was a graduate of Bethesda School of Nursing and worked in many aspects of nursing over the years including almost 20 years at Rambo Health Center.

Mary Ruth was a member of the Bethesda Nursing Alumni and Child Conservation League. She was also a devoted member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

She leaves behind her daughter, Linda D. (Thomas) Collins; a brother Wilbur (June) Mock; sisters-in-law, Mary Ruth Mock and Darliss Mock; and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Eppley Gale. 

Mary Ruth was the proud grandmother of Mary Collins, Ryan Smith, Jason Eppley, Tyler Eppley, and Nicole Lynn (Dave) Eppley; great grandmother of Alexander Hoermle, Kayley Eppley, Braden Eppley, Davis Lynn, and Elliott Lynn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Eppley, and her second husband Forrest Howell; a son Mark A. Eppley; and siblings Martha Helen Stahl, Lee Mock, John Mock and Phillip Mock

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday June 8, 2022, from 11-1 PM at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE, OH 43701.  Funeral services will follow at 1 PM in the Snouffer Chapel.

Burial will take place in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
