Maryetta Baggett Obituary

BYESVILLE
Maryetta Lynn Baggett, 64, passed away January 4, 2023, comfortably at her home surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. She was born December 24, 1958, in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Charles Todd and Linda King Todd.

She was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was sweet but stubborn as an ox, which allowed her to continue to fight for so long. Maryetta had a strong passion for Autism Awareness and connected with many other caregivers. She devoted herself for 19 years without asking for much help from anyone to raise Aaron the best way she knew how. Maryetta was a friend to anyone and everyone, especially her walking buddy Dale, her lifelong partners in crime, Margo and Cheri and her many Facebook buddies. Maryetta loved her cats, Junior, CiCi and Shadow so much that they had their own spot on her bed and often was fed better than she fed herself. She loved tending to her flowers, watching the hummingbirds, squirrels and deer outside her bedroom window, decorating for the different seasons, fall and Christmas being her favorites. Maryetta enjoyed doing word searches and being on social media…that is when she could find her glasses, that were normally on top her head. Maryetta was loved by all that knew her. She was a wonderful cook, an immaculate housekeeper, just ask her family and do not mess with her salt and pepper shakers!

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Clifford Baggett, whom she married April 13, 2001; two daughters: Angela Hannon and Jeanette (Steve) Beach; a bonus daughter: Damora Baggett; one sister: Pamela Todd; seven grandchildren: Aaron Hannon, whom she raised as a son, Travis (Gina) Riddle Jr., Paige Abrams, Madyson (Mack) Carlson, Brionna Wilson, Emma Beach and Steve Beach Jr.; two great-grandchildren: Miles and Maleah; nieces: Jennifer (Joe), Kristen (John),  Amanda and Cayla; nephews: Dana “DJ” Jr. (Rachel), Richard, Dustin, and Brandon; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Dana Todd; granddaughter: Karlee Nicole Riddle; and son in law Randy Clipner.
